Home Care Aide (HCA)

You’ll provide non-medical personal care, companionship, and daily support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home.
💰 Pay
$19–$21 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
- Prepare meals and provide assistance with eating when needed.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
- Provide light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and general household organization.
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with self-administered medications.
- Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, errands, and recreational activities.
- Provide companionship, cognitive support, and respite care for clients living with dementia.
- Document services accurately using the Agency’s WellSky system.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan and promptly report changes in condition to the Program Manager or Staffing Coordinator.
- Complete required training and annual continuing education.
What We’re Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous caregiving experience in home care or a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Current TB clearance.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Successful completion of Agency orientation and pre-service training.
- Compassionate, reliable, respectful, and committed to providing high-quality care.
Physical Requirements
This role involves hands-on caregiving and requires the ability to:
- Stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs.
- Safely assist clients with transfers, positioning, and mobility, with or without transfer equipment.
- Perform physical caregiving tasks in clients’ homes without lifting restrictions.
