We are seeking an experienced TemporaryBenefits and Leave Coordinator. This role is an opportunity for an immediate start with a 3-month working period. The hourly range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $27-$32; however, pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for administering the employee benefits program for the entire organization consistent with the mission and goals of the Agency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tracks employee monthly benefits eligibility status, sends out packets and notifies branch managers as appropriate.
Responsible for enrollments, cancellations, changes and problems/issues with all employee benefits
Process COBRA enrollments using third party vendor
Maintain vendor relationship. Includes resolving problems, providing enrollment material, bill payment and other relationship management.
Audit and verify all insurance billings for accuracy.
Plan, coordinate and implement all facets of the annual Benefit open enrollment.
Assists employees with questions regarding health insurance benefits and assist employees in resolving any claim or insurance issues.
Responsible for 401k eligibility and open enrollment.
Process, monitor and track all State and Federal Leave of Absence requests- FMLA and Non-FMLA.
Process, monitor and track all EDD Unemployment Insurance claims.
Reviews all PAFs (Personal Action Forms) and related new hire documents once they have been processed by accounting.
Verify accuracy and follow through to completion all requested personnel changes, including new hires and terminations, using two separate computer systems.
Responsible for maintaining and submitting the monthly EDD New Hire Report for employees and contractors.
Acknowledge patient rights including privacy and confidentiality.
Consistently display a professional appearance and conduct in all settings.
Interact with internal and external customers using positive and professional approach.
Assume responsibility and display reliability for the completion of all tasks, duties, communications and actions.
Maintain professional growth and development.
Participate in performance improvement activities.
Support the mission, vision and goals of the Agency.
Abide by Agency policy and procedures.
Accept other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
2+ years of experience administering health insurance and employee benefits
Working knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, and ADA and Leave Administration
Working knowledge of UI Process and EDD
Working knowledge of 401k administration
Proficiency in multiple computer applications including MSWord, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience in the healthcare field a plus but not required
